Default Hoosier 28.0'' x 14.50'' - 16'' question

Does anyone have pics of a C5 with Hoosier 28.0'' x 14.50'' - 16''LT
on it ?

How did they fit and what was needed to make them fit ?

I have the CCW drag pack they will be put on.

(I posted this in tech without a great deal of response)

Thanks....

16's do fit, but need a lttle clearance work on the ball joint. A few taps with a hammer works well... the 28" tall tire fits well, but would think that width might be an issue.

I run them under L-5 flared fenders on 16X11.50 CCW classics with a 7.25" backspace.

It seems to work... wondering if the 15" version would do even better.

Your car was looking (and sounding) awesome yesterday, really enjoyed seeing it

The ET streets 26" x 11.5 x 16" on my CCW's are not working.

So, I figure with almost 600 rwhp N/A and 6 speed a bigger tire will help.

I just need info on C5's with 28" x 14.5" x 16" tires.

What is needed to runs these on my CCW's and need pics and info ?

Thanks

I wonder if you NEED to go with bigger tires or not...? Im in a similar situatiion only with a little bit more power. I use a six speed with 28 x 11.5 on the ccw 16". I would like to eventually get more sidewall With 15" rim, but seem to ok with these for now. I just ran a 9.65 @148 with 1.4x 60' NA....The next time we are racing we plan to spray it and would be expecting 1.3x 60' on that same tire. Robz ran 9.33 on a little 255 tire with a stick NA... maybe u just need some Robz or Gary coaching... they are two best gear rowers I've ever seen......!.Gary was a machine yesterday... Anyhow, have you ever read any Ranger right ups about launching with a manual trans? If not do a search for Ranger, robz and gary2004zo6. You prob wont regret it...

When I purchased the Z06 a few years back Brett (PRAY) stated it was a hard return once it was burning rubber. This is a N/A motor with almost 600 rwhp. Turbo amd Procharged cars need to think again !! He was correct !!!

I read ALL on launching a 6 speed.
I'm looking for a large tire (16"rim) that will work. And a simple way to
make it work.

Here are some options:

M&H 26x12x16 slick.-- May need flare an offset wheel and or mini tub--ideally 11+" rim

MT 28"x16" slick stiff sidewall--adjusted ball joint, inner fender, ride height

Hoosier 28"x16 QTP--adjusted ball joint, inner fender, and ride height

All will fit on a ccw rim in 10 inches but may not be ideal. Not familiar with a 14.5" width tire but all the other ones will work for you.

In order to get what you want you will need to take the time and make the proper adjustments.
