The Hardcore dude is a stick guy. As he has said, Gary, Rob, Bruce, Andrew, I, and several other of us guys that have been down track a few times, could certainly knock a .5 (or more) off his times. He'll get there. Just needs more seat time. None of us set any records in our first 50-75 passes.
He'll get there and he has an ambitious goal. I certainly hope he attains it. It's not going to be cheap and he will have to accept the cost of setting records to accomplish a specific goal.

LPE 346 twin turbo, 8.75 compression with Fast 90 intake 90 LPE throttle body pushing 16.5lbs of boost on stock turbo's with speed density tune and a mix of 100 octane. F55 suspension with Z51 springs, sway bars and metal end links. RPM Level 7 4L65E Trans with SuperYank 3500 stall. Tires used were Hoosier drag radials 315/30/18 on factory 02 Z06 18x10.5 rims, no skinnies up front. I've hit 1.5 60fts before so a 9.8 could be possible. Race weight 3400lbs without me in the car, 3560 with me. No 2 step used on launch.

Made 1350 RWHP on MS 109. Set at 15LB Boost made 1050 on pump gas and ran 9.05 @ 157 Drive it every week end. Get 17 Mpg on the highway (hunting for European supper cars and crotch rockets.
Put stock C6 ZO6 chrome spoke wheels with nitto 335/35/18 drag radial on the back. They will hold the 2-3 shift at full throttle on the street.

Did my once-a-year dragstrip day last weekend and improved just a tiny bit on my best run from last year. Same exact setup/mods as last year. Chipping away a little bit at a time.
2014 C7 Z51 w/mag suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport tires @30psi K&N cold air intake, TSP long tubes and catless x pipe, dyno tuned on 93 octane. Two different tracks two different days, Mid Michigan Motorplex 62 degrees and overcast. US131 Motorsports Park 71 and sunny.
Congrats on your new personal best however, I noticed on LS1 tech dot com that you are a C5Z which you failed to mention in your post. Sorry, but this 1/4 mile list is a prestigious list for C5's only.
Please stop by the C5 Z06 list to get onto the correct list if you would like. I know you have to compete with all other displacement motors there but I didn't create the list.

JL 87K5 you are just behind my (Paint it Black) car almost knocked me off of that top ten list by .04 sec Great time! I did ad a Holley Dominator V2 to that car and might have to run a 200 - 300 shot if that happens :-)
