Depends on how your going to drive your car.. Street.. Track it ?
The 3200 sounds good. But, a 3600-3800 will make you feel like anther 50 rwhp over a 2800

Please go little deeper w/ your experience-
Not to hyjack but hopefully the op will gain good info as well.
Mine: 02 A4; went 3.15 to 3.42; Headers/X/Corsas; CAI; 228R; presently w/ a lousy tune. Cleaned up/ ported 243's on bench now in process of install; then stall in summer time ($). At head install time I will have HP Pro.

How does / did a 4-600 rpm higher stall feel like 50 rwhp more?

I feel the surge / heavy brake app @ stop lite now like TSP warned me of w/ the 228 which they said was at the borderline of "Must Have a stall".

Thx for sharing your knowledge / experience.

Coan, Circle D, Yank, Vig, all good converters.....I've had a 2800 Vig with my Vengence grind cam on my heads/cam engine for the last 4 years or so, recently went with an Arun custom grind, needs a bit more stall so ordered a Yank SS3600 - Dave at Yank was very helpful and spent a lot of time talking with me prior to my order to make sure he builds me the right torque multiplication ratio etc which was part of the reason I went with Yank,......the guys at RPM really know their stuff too, I'm sure they can recommend the best stall for your combo if you ask.....

if your spending all that money, you wont feel any diff. with the 2800-3200, start at the yank 3600 and you'll be forced back into your seat when you launch!! anything less and you wont notice any difference.good luck , 2blackvette
