4 anybody that cares what a stock Z dyno @
I recently put my stock 02 Z06 with just an cold air intake on the dyno and it made 372.4 rwhp and 363.6 foot lbs of torque. About to do a cam, heads, and tune. I will update when I actually pull it down and re dyno it.

That's a nice number. Our '04 coupe made 372 with ARH 1 & 7/8" LTs, no cats, x-pipe, UD pulley, Pure Stock cam (stock lift and duration) and a tune. That was through an auto with a 4000 TC, 3.90, and 28" drag radials.

Mine bonestock with a k@n filter made 363rwhp 359tq on a dyno apperantly reading low that day. It was a dyno day so heard all kinds of feedback. After a vararam, ghl bullet catback and ed hutchings tune. It made 389 rwhp 371tq. First pull no tune made 353. Long tubes arh 1 7/8 and ms4 cam and tune makes 435rwhp but I can't remeber the tq . So back on topic you got a healthy z man congrats

even the 116 is relative
FourG63 97GST, you are right about the 116mph trap speed, but even that is relative. With our normally-aspirated engines, Density Altitude plays a huge factor in engine output. Tell a guy running at Bandimere that his Z is slower than yours because your ET and trap were better. He'll tell you, "bring your car up here and let's run for pinks!"
For what it's worth, my 2001 Z06 put out 351hp and 355 lb/ft on a DynoJet with just a K&N and airbox lid removed, Vararam PowerDuct, and my attempt at tuning it myself, prior to the dyno. Tuning was done for lowest ET and my best was 7.79 in the 1/8 mile, on MT ET Street bias ply drag slicks. Without tuning or the PowerDuct, she ran 12.38 at 113.2 at Famoso in Bakersfield CA area, in approx 90F spring air, several years ago. That was on my 1st-ever 1/4mile pass, and I only got one more pass that day and it was slower! I haven't made it back to the full 1/4 mile since then. Wish a 1/4 mi track was more local!

What really matters is how the car runs on the street/track and the before/after numbers on the same dyno. Also- as most of you know, WHERE and how the torque is spread throughout the power curve

Funny 372 hp and 363 tq is exactly what my 03z did on a dynojet with a hurricane cold air intake. Pulled 364 hp 355 tq before the intake, and lost a few hp actually with the famous "zip-tie" mod without the zip ties. Nice numbers though , time for some headers.

Just got call back from Tuner my car made 365rwhp & 356rwtq on a mustang dyno. Only mods are the vararam and tune. I'm very VERY happy, as I stated above my G8 GT that put down 339whp on this same dyno made 13 more hp on a dynojet.
That should be more tham enough to keep me happy for a while!
