Found the breaking point
I made it out to the track this past Sunday. Car is a 99 a4 vert with a 70mm rearmount turbo. Turbo friendly cam, ls6 intake, PRC heads ,meth kit & plenty of fuel system. Car made 570rwhp at 15lbs on 93octane & meth.
1st pass 2.05 60ft
7.62 1/8
100 1/8
9.72 1000ft
11.50 1/4
126.77. 1/4
2nd pass 1.95 60ft
7.46 1/8
100. 1/8
9.58 1000ft
11.43 1/4
120.33 1/4
About 1100ft out it leaned over and started to LIGHTLY mist what ended up being oil on the windshield. I looked in the mirrors and noticed it was billowing smoke so I got on the brakes and moved over and got it stopped. I then looked under the car to see if it was leaking and she was on fire. There was oil covering the exhaust which caught fire. After about 30 seconds of panicking and visualizing it fully engulfed in flames, I realized I had an extinguisher in the trunk. Lol. Fire went directly out with only damage to 1 02 sensor and the harness side of the 02 sensor. Lots of soot and **** to clean up.
We towed it to the pit and seen the drivers side valve cover gasket pushed out for about 3 inches. Got it home and drove it out of the trailer and it sounded a little funny. Today a compression test revealed cylinder 7 has zero compression. Game over for this season.
The moral of the story is a $10 fire extinguisher saved my car from burning beyond reasonable repair....

Bummer.
I'm sure you know, #7 is a famous LS1 failure even in NA engines.
Hopefully, you didn't break the sleeve.
Must have detonated at some point. Any chance you data logged the run?
My guess would be that it was hurt prior to your track runs. I'd expect better than 126 mph with that rwhp.
Good luck with the repairs!

I don't have any way to log data so idk what happened. I suspect 16lbs of boost on the stock piston was just to much. It was inevitable, I'll take a break for the season and come out fresh next season with a new AES shortblock.
I do recall hearing guys run a step colder plug in cylinder 7, but I figured I'd be alright at the hp level.... guess not......

I've got a local machine shop that could fix just about whatever I could have hurt on the head. They've fixed a head issue I had a few years ago when I thought the head was junk. Aluminum has been good to me. Lol
