Made it into the 12s
Ran a 12.8@111 last weekend in my c5 m6. Modifications consist of
BreathlessVortex cai
Texas speed long tubes with off road test pipes
Corsa Extreme
I really want to get a set of drag radials to get my terrible 2.0 60' down. But I'm worried about breaking my diff. Anybody have any suggestions on getting my 60 down without destroying my rear end?

First, Congrats!! Great pass Second, don't worry about the rear too much.. have many passes in the 10's with a stock rear / 1.7 60fts. and there are others around that have much better 60fts. than that on stock rears! Other ways to improve your 60' would be gears and/or converter. Still need those sticky tires though!

The M6 is much more prone to wheel hop (drive drain shake). A solid transmission mount should be done before or at the same time you do drag slicks. You shouldn't have to worry too much at your power level though.

congrats. Def room for improvement.
I'm no drag expert but 1.8 60' is highly possible for street tires.
I did 12.417@113.96 with 1.898 60' in my stock C5z on BFG Rival tires.
My recommendation is watch your tire pressure and practice.
There ton of factors out there, how well the track was prepped, temp etc
Most importantly you got to have fun

Get a pair of dedicated track tires. Get some 16" firebird wheels and 26x10.5 or 11.5 et street bias ply. Or you could go 17" and get the 26x11.5-17 bias ply. They'll help with wheel hop and hook great. And lighter weight. I only used those with m6. Worked amazing. 1.6x 60' stockish.
