Default cooler weather so back to racing ...

A cold front came through Texas late this week and brought some nice weather. This week it was in the upper 90s and today I don't believe it got out of the 60s. DA at the track (according to my phone ... I'll have to check out the web site later) was in the 700' range. Not as good as we get in the winter but definitely better than all summer and exceptional for early September.

Wendy has been learning to drive the car the last couple times out and did very well tonight. She probably has 25 total passes in it and went a PB for her tonight: 11.60 @ 115 with a 1.52 60'. More importantly though she won the Street Class at Pine Valley in Lufkin! I'm very proud of her and we had a great time together.

Here we are:

No nitrous runs yet. We have the progressive controller in and ready to go but she was making plenty of runs and going rounds so I didn't want to disrupt what she had going. She runs the car NA and I plan to do the nitrous runs until she gets more comfortable in the car and we put a roll bar in it. Next time out we may make an effort to sort the nitrous out and see if it will run solidly in the 10s.

Thanks guys. We don't race much but when we do get out we have a lot of fun. Running well and winning makes it just that much better. I need to pick up a spare nitrous bottle, fill them both, and get out to a test and tune this fall and see if we can get solidly in the 10s before we go H/C/I this winter.

Damn I'm 2 tenths slower but trap 3mph higher. I really need to get my 60' down. Badly

A gear, converter, and good drag radials will do it! We don't make much power so we have to be very efficient about what we do have and use it to it's maximize. Looking at the data logs on our low 1.5x 60' times there doesn't appear to be any tire spin. Track prep was very good.

Nice. I can't get the 555r to hook at the track with 4k stall and 3.42's
