Default Lets' see your oil seperator/catch can set ups.

Ditching my POS catch can... Picked up one from LG
(Thanks Bobby, Anthony). Also picked up an RX Oil separator.. going to install either today, tomorrow... will take some pics. Currently I have my "dirty side" going into my air Filter ( Killer Bee II)... Getting a lot of blow by during high rev runs... (not good). Lets see yours and tell me how it works. In talking to Bobby @ LG... significant Blow by can be catastrophic....

Mine is a DIY setup that basically just mimics what 99% of the kits out there do. I don't have anything on the valvecover -> intake line at this point... really not needed IMO for a mild build or if staying NA. If you have a lot of blowby it's probably indicative of some other issue(s).

Thanks for your post... No, there are no other issues,, and my car is not a "mild" build at all.... Matter of fact ALL of my buddies w big cubed engines are running catch cans, oil separators... I am sure that your little DIY catch can works great for you. Mine needed something a little more. Finishing mine up today.

Visited with Bobby @ LGM... Catch can's, oil separators are BIG deal in racing.... To emphasize, my blow by only happens after I have ran the car hard!! Really hard!!

Should be fixed today... I'll post my pics... Nobody else?

Mine 418ci isnt put together yet but i will be running a Elite Engineering can setup on mine. From what ive seen, it has alot of succes and its a simple, yet clean design. As much racing as your doing, you may need to take it a step futher and go with a RX Performance Catch can.

I had a -10an fitting welded to each of my valve covers and I ran them to a jegs breather can (part # 555-52202) mounted to the side of my radiator cradle... no more oil getting to the intake and it let's the motor breathe... my pcv system is removed and all vacuum ports capped

Not really worth it for the $$, to me anyways.

Another option you may wish to consider is an exhaust slash-cut/venturi setup. A lot cheaper, pretty simple and will put vacuum on the crankcase.

Vacuum pump helps seal motor and gains some power

I know ur catch can separator doesnt make power lol

My catch can gets more oil in it than I care for that's why I was asking about the vacuum pump.

Thank

I ran the pump on my Silverado 402 stroker for about 4 years. You can see the top of it at the bottom of the picture. It runs a bracket to the head like an old school alternator.

I just refreshed the motor and don't need it anymore. May end up selling it.

Pit man.... Please, PM me, tell me more..... I went to a local C&C yesterday and was talking to some guys... They all said it is a great mod... But for the $$$$$,,,, not so much. I would like to know how I would route it on my Vette... C5Z...?

Do I need to get with my engine builder to check tolerances? Or does that play a part..?
414ci Stroker... Very interested in the one you may be selling. the more info the better I have followed a lot of your posts and know that you are well versed on the LSX platform as well as these cars. Thank you for your time.
