new 418 finished yesterday
Guys, I didn't want to post till I was done. She is home and ready for the dyno in a couple weeks. I drove about 60 miles yesterday to get all the bugs out. I will post up the numbers on here when I get them.
Anyway, my 383 had a couple bad lifters one morning, so I yanked the heads to see what was up. While waiting I got the go faster bug and ordered a new 418 with more cam and big bore AFR 230 heads.
Anyone interested in my 383, I will post in the 4 sale area soon. Only 14k miles and a proven mid ten second motor.

Also still trying to get truck tranny straightened. Haven't been able to make a full pass yet. It did shift to second one time, then bounced off the limiter 3 times before going into 3rd. Ran a 7.2 @ 96 with a lousy sixty foot and 96 degree degree air intake. That was my best mph in cold air before, so she is running great.

Are you telling spec's or top super secret With AFR heads I went from the ugly 17* of overlap to 10* with LSK .650 lobes. Made the same power with day & night manner improvement & much more tuner friendly. After I switched the heads the LSK lobes broke two valve springs last summer. So I've Swapped out the cam again, 5* of overlap & slightly less lift ...... Back to the dyno this spring hoping for a minimal change in power, trying to achieve the perfect street manners with confidence in the valve train.

No top secret...650/610, 235/245 on a 114 lsa. Heads are stock 230 Big Bore AFR, CR is 11:1
I hope it is near 500 rw

I'm a Fast 102 ported, screwed up by the same guy that supposedly ported my AFR 230's. I also have a NW 102 TB, AR 1 7/8's with a SW 3" out the back & cats. That combo did 518rw & about 476ftlbs if I remember.
Your 500rw should be a reasonable target.....easily.

Looking forward to your track results, hoping to have my new motor in this weekend finally getting back to the track, knocking the rust off and giving you some motivation for low 10s!
