Default 1/4 miles results

Here is my setup..

98 Coupe, automatic. 142,000 miles.
car has kooks longtubes, b&b exhaust, LS6 intake, Built 390 rear end, ET streets, stock stall, P1sc on 5lbs of boost, and a Ronster Tune..

My best pass was a 12.1@116 on a 1.9 60'. I cant launch hard due to the stock stall. I was pleased with those numbers, as it was not the usual weather conditions at Atco. Think the D/A was +1400 feet that night.

Next mods will be a built tranny, 3200 stall, maybe a 3.42 gear swap. I am also going to get ready for a built motor swap, and 10-12lbs of boost in the near future as well.

So am I. Thanks everyone. At first I was a little disappointed, but for only 5lbs, on a stock motor 98, with 140,000 miles, I think it pretty good, and very safe..

You see he's only on 5 lbs of boost with a bone stock ls1?

Stock stall too.

I did a converter change in my car and picked up .5 and 5 mph. No other changes.

Stock LS1 dyno is about 310-320rwhp

with headers and LS6 intake and exhaust... should be +20-30

I would say a blower making 50-60rwhp... is not doing its job even at 5lbs.

Your in NJ so near sea level... you may have an issue.

I would take it to a tuner. That blower should be good for 100-150rwhp easy.

I'm gonna agree with some others here. That's underperforming, and I base that off the trap speed of 116.

A typical blower car making 6-7 lbs of boost usually puts a C5 into the 450-470 range. Granted the P1SC is a bit small, but with the other supporting mods and 5lbs of boost that car should be seeing around 450 RWHP(ish) (based off mods listed you're probably in the 340-350 RWHP range with no boost) and in this kind of WX, trap speeds should be in the 120 range.

5 psi isn't much. Prob use 1 psi worth of power to just spin the blower.
Since the centri increases boost with rpm, it really does little to help get the car going. Esp with a stock torque converter.

Sounds to me like it's doing exactly what the OP wants!

Ron
