I just found this thread, you can add me to the list. I had some fuel tank issues but I still had a good run and will be back to Clayton in September to tune the car in and hopefully go a lot faster. Great event with a lot of Corvettes there.
I don't know where I put the time slip but I'm listed on the official results page http://www.wannagofast.com/event-tim...ftlane_fin.htm
120 RWD Mike Menke 2004 Chevrolet Corvette (S/C) (900whp) 163.5174

Just curious what the 180mph cars are making for power. I understand traction is critical at this event(Ocala).
I plan to be out in my C5 this year(last two years I drove an LT4 C4 Corvette and a Gen 5 Viper this past event) and looking to be hopefully in the 180s.

My car ended up 163 and broke for the weekend. I had huge traction issues, AFR was iffy, needed more timing, and I think my converter started slipping after shifting to 4th. All I needed was 17 mph, that's just a hair more

I had my car at Vengeance Racing about a year back to have the tune switched from HPTuner over to EFILive by there tuner Mike Carnahan. I asked what mph he thought my car would hit as it was set up (A4 with 3.42s at about 900hp). He estimated in the 180's. They support a lot of cars for these events and I would think his estimate is at least educated. If all things work and you get decent traction.

163 is moving. I went I think about 156(155.9) in a gen V viper with long tube and a tune, and lots of aero(for the roadcourse). Fortunately I experienced no real issues at all and was able to drive it back home. I did see a BUNCH of cars on the flatbed tho so I know we had lots of casualties.

Cool beans. Just trying to do some R&D before then myself. Trying to get my car finished so I don't have to take another loaner LOL.
Maybe we can do a half mile dig race, you and I and compete for that record!

Works for me, I just need to learn to modulate my gas pedal foot under pressure better. If I know someone beside me has a fast car I tend to power the tires. I hope there is decent traction this trip.

I don't really expect a ton of traction this time out but I guess it all depends on how cold it is again. First year I was in short sleeves, second I was in a sweatshirt chipping ice off the cars lol. Either way, looking forward to it.

For my car, I was in the 1000+ HP range for the back half of the 1/2 mile...so 180 is possible for anyone near that range, give or take 100hp range. Trying to keep it on kill sooner in the run and shoot for 190 this weekend if the air is right. Fingers crossed!

Good luck! I was hoping to battle it out with you this weekend but my parts didn't arrive on time so I'll be stuck in the 10s til may, then I'll be in the 190s.
