Default Lower dust sheild bellhousing 6speed

Has and anyone or is it possible to run without the lower part of the bellhousing. Reason for asking is to possibly keep the clutch cooler while making passes at the dragstrip. A lot of other cars are open at the bottom. Just wondering if its possible or not.

I used a hole saw and put 3 round holes in it and 1inch in diameter and put it back on the car . I have been running it that way for 4 months and seems to be working . I also noticed the tunnel seems to be a little cooler .

Glad to see someone else has looked into this also. Maybe I'll try that. Thanks!
