Default Cam results are in - Streetsweeper HT -

Was finally able to get the car tuned after all the mods. Tuning done by Mike Norris in Indy. Car is 02 M6 base. Mods are below:

Ed Curtis Streetsweeper HT cam
Vararam intake + duct
American Racing longtubes
Catless X + B&B bullets
ATI 10% underdrive pulley
Monster stage 2 clutch
Stock heads

Made 417/396. Drives like stock around town and idles mean. Starts pulling hard at 3k! Happy with the results!

Those are some big numbers! Is this typical for that cam? Is this dyno STD or SAE?

The graph says this is STD so numbers sound about right

How do you like the Monster Stage 2 clutch so far?

I'm still on my stock clutch and will need to make a change next year and I'm leaning towards this as the replacement from the research I've done. I love my stock clutch but shifting above 6k rpm's and it starts feeling a little mushy.

Can you comment on driveability? Any surging/bucking when idling around in parking lots, hanging idle problems, cold/hot start issues, raw fuel smell when idling, etc?

So far I'm really liking the Monster stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel. It honestly grabs and feels like stock. The pedal pressure is only marginally more firm, and it grabs very hard. They suggested a 500 mile break in, but after 200 miles I started giving it some power with no issues.

Drive-ability is fantastic AFTER the tune. Before the tune it would die at every stoplight, but that was to be expected. I can start going from a stop just like I did with the stock cam. The only different is I cannot lug the car around in 4th gear in my neighborhood like I used to, it will buck when cruising around under 1400 rpms. I just keep it above that and I'm fine.

It fires up hot or cold, and it is actually pretty hard to kill the engine. I have yet to kill it after it was tuned. I am not running any cats on this car, so it does stink a little. The smell was actually a lot stronger after the tune, as I'm sure some timing was put into it and some more fuel that caused this. My gf knows exactly when I've driven my vette cause I smell like exhaust. I like it

The sound of this cam is nasty at idle, I will try to upload a video. The volume of the exhaust has increased substantially, throughout the entire rpm band, not just idle. It is brutally loud under acceleration. Every time I start the car cold, it will make you jump. I make people almost fall down in parking lots when it fires up.
