New best in the Red Sled...
I went to the rental that Gary put together at MDIR and right off the trailer, ran a new best. My tuner, Ed Hutchings and I worked on the tuning a bit between passes and whittled it down a bit more.
Enjoy...
Enjoy...

Not only does Pete have a great looking and running car but he's an outstanding individual as well. He had never seen me before yesterday but was right there to help out when tragedy befell us on our first pass. We broke an axle and he gave us one out of his personal stash to get us going and not have the trip wasted. It's a 4 hour trip one way for the crew over in Elizabeth City and over a 5 hour trip for me from the Outer Banks of NC. You don't run into such a person every day. Pete, I cannot thank you enough. Thanks to you, a Corvette finally lit up the scoreboard with an 8 after unsuccessful attempts from big power cars with slicks all day. I cannot say enough good things about you.

Burning Brakes
So far I've only been able to foot brake to 3000 rpm at the track. I can only get 2800 on the street. I MIGHT be able to get 3200 at the track on a stick day with some VHT... I really don't want to have the converter loosened any more. I like the way it drives currently and I don't want to jeopardize the streetability, at this point. Lol

Thanks Gary, again for setting up this rental.
We're all square with the axle. And he put up the number he was looking for, so that makes it even better!
I'm always happy to help out a fellow racer... it's what we do...

This converter goes to 7100 on the trans brake with the 2-step disconnected.
I need it tightened up a little bit. The calculator says 13.6% slip.
