Default Information C5 Cut Hood For Victor Super Intake

Not sure this is the right forum for this but I'll bet someone can help me here who reads this forum..

I'm rebuilding my engine to a 388 and will use a Victor Super intake with high flow elbow. My TB will attach to that with tube to intercooler. Request I have is for a picture of any hood one might have that is cut to allow booth elbow and forward tube of TB to intercooler to pass through as it will not all fit under an uncut C5 hood. I'm not going to use aftermarket hood as I have expensive stripe graphics painted on current hood. Any Picture will help me and if possible a phone as I would like to talk about the whole process of cutting that hood. Thanks..... PM me with anything.

Good luck with your project.

I can't help with pics, but am curious about your setup.

Turbo? Blower?

Power level?

Any reason you're not looking at the Holley Hi Ram?

Basics: LSX Block 388, 245 Trick Flows, Custom forged pistons, F1X Blower, 30 lbs boost, tuned to safe 1200 RWHP, 4L60e (level X RPM), 3:42 RPM WaveTrac, Dual Meth, using Victor because Holly Hi Ram will cause me to cut cowling and lose wipers....mine is street car and I do drive it in rain.......if I have to to get home. I keep it about 1.30 0-60 using boost controller and two -step. Keeps my tranny together and allows me to hook even at crappy tracks most of the time.

Blew up old set up last week which was 430. For amount of boost that set up was too big) Ran that for about a year and half but never pushed it....5.70's, 125, in 1/8th. Never ran 1/4. New set up will be much more stought and will push me to 5.50's......hopefully depending on 0-60.

I will run on 123 mixture with 93 at track but on street only 93. On street no boost....if I get a race it will go to track and we settle it there for whatever we bet.

I read about your beast. Would like to think when I finish this build I can be about with your performance and numbers....with some good drivability. Sounds like you have great set up buddy. Tell me a little about yours OK....Are you using 102 TB?

Dang... sounds like a very solid build you have going. I'm looking at building something similar cubes wise, but with a billet 76mm turbo. (Class limited).

I understand the cowl thing. My car is a track only car so it didn't matter to me.

I use a ported GM 90mm throttle body on my car. It's an NA 427 on E85.
