Default 99 LS6 in an A4 with 3.15 rear

I spent months reading post after post here and in LS1TECH on putting an LS6 CAM in my LS1. I have driven a few stock Z06's and really liked the drivability and power when you need it. I know there are huge cams out there...but I pulled the trigger and basically put an LS6 top end on my car. Heads, intake, cam, injectors. I have kooks long tubes, high flow cats, and an LG exhaust. Wow, what a difference! With out a tune the car runs great. I drive the car 60 miles round trip to and from work so i wanted a very reliable set up that had some UMPH when I wanted it. In first gear you can't go over 3/4 throttle with out smoking the tires, and man does it pull over 4 grand. The 1-2 shift needs a little help, the car is currently at the tunner getting tweaked and the rev limiter increased 500 RPM (heads now have dual springs) That should really help the power band on the 1-2. Overall, there are def bigger cam set ups that will rip. GM put a lot of engineering into the LS6 and it really runs decent in the auto. I have only put 200 miles on the car so far, but I am very surprised at how many people crap on this cam. Idles like stock, gets good gas mileage and well scare you if not careful. sounds great when you get on it too! I am very happy with the car. I am going to sea for 10 days, I will post the dyno sheet as soon as i get it.

Agreed, I have an ls6 long block in my 02 Camaro. I believe most have the attitude of go big or go home, but the ls6 is a nice package. I also have a swapped 3:42 out of a 6-sp car which is huge if you have an A4. Add even a baby 3000 stall from a company like FTI or Circle D and the car will feel like it has more power then should be considered street legal .........
