I really can't think of any "worse" things for me in 2012. Even this http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=1XhVO...%3D1XhVObV_1PE really wasn't all that bad in the end. Heck, the publicity was worth something...

Good (in no particular order):

I turned 50
My firm was named Broker/Dealer of the Year
I bought a S550 for my birthday present
My wife turned 50
I get to go to lunch with my 84-year old father almost every Friday
My niece got engaged
Added a few names to my "good friends" list

Best #1: My youngest daughter and her husband had their first child, a boy...my 3rd grandchild.

Best #2: I was fortunate enough to be able to buy an 8,000 mile practically new '06 Victory Red coupe. Best, most fun car I've ever had.

Worst: Watching my 93 year old mom become ever more frail and forgetful. Her overall health is remarkably good but still, time is taking its toll.

Being a dad is the best thing I have EVER done, and I've done some cool things. Congratulations.

Worst: I didn't get all my ducks in a row, and won't be going to school in January. I could blame the bureaucracy, but I knew the hurdles and I didn't jump them.

Best: I have to find a real, full-time job! I keep trying to convince myself that that's the upside.
