OMG! Is someone filming a b sci-fi movie up there?
|
I have seen some butchered Corvettes over the years but nothing like that. Bad taste alone doesn't begin to explain that monstrosity.
|
I will be carrying my regular camera with me for the next few weeks, the iphone can't truly show how bad, and how much $hit is stuck on this car. At first I though it was vandalized, but some of the other local guys said he has been doing this since he bought the car and supposedly he does not have any mental health issues...
|
WTF , I could puke !:ack:
I did puke ! |
That is one big MESS.:ack:
|
Yes, with 350MM+ people in the US, there will always be some people as outlers statistically, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, etc.
and, someone that would do this to a Corvette.:willy: |

I will now have to gouge out my mind's eye. It cannot be unseen.

Really ???? This guy must seriously be mentally ill

WTF is right, are you kidding me.

He's pretty much guaranteed that he would not be car jacked or have the car stolen.

It might be an "art car", or some other lame attempt by an "artist" to make a statement about the "subjective nature of beauty". Still, he should be beaten for defacing an icon.

really

Probably the 2011 being tested by Government Motors........... it has a 4 cylinder that you couldn't see.......... it's their attempt to appeal to each SES level.

OMG! I've seen everything now! I guess he wanted to be different!

It does protect against Door Dings...
And since it looks like it was painted with a brush, touch-ups are no problem...  |

If there was ever a non-religious meaning of "Blasphemy" this car would be a prime example of what it would mean in the atheistic sense.
|
I'm stunned, speachless...
How?? WHY!!! I think somebody is off their meds!!! |
I personally think it is the worst looking Vette I have seen. But, if the guy who owns it likes it then... to each his own.
Rave on Unique Brother!!!!! Enjoy YOUR Vette. Maybe he thinks my almost completely stock Vette looks terrible. |

No really, AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...os/burning.gif |
I was in Evansville last night. Drove the vette up there to eat at Golden Corral. I really ate a lot more than I should have, and felt a little sick to my stomach. Thank God I did not see that POS after I left, because I'm sure I would have :U

There are some people who who really should not have been released voluntarily from the mental hospital.

If I read another "To each his own" or "As long as he likes it" I'm going to scream. :willy:

Maybe he's expecting a repo man to come collect, and wants it to look really special for the bank...Either that, or he spent a little too much time in the birth canal.

Thanks for posting that up. That's the best laugh I've had in days...I'm almost in tears! PS "supposable" ??? Are you George Bush? |
This is easily the most awesome thread I've seen here in months. Black glitter spray paint? I've been manipulating images for many years and if this is faked it took ten times longer to fake than it would to actually do. In the "before" images it looks like not only was there an attempt to paint the driver's side mirror with a Sharpie but look at the extra badging tacked onto the rear! Who can ID the year those are off of?
And it has stock wheels, yet! I love it, I absolutely love it. Eventually this guy is going to put curb feelers on (although in the city I wish I had them too) and a cardboard wing and a fishtank, beaded seats, poke some holes in his mufflers and hack the roof clean off. Because he can, I guess, or because he wants to, or because he lost a bet, or because he loves the attention. Either way, what he's doing is extremely important for members of this forum: He's setting the ultimate precedent for those who might otherwise be afraid to talk about or post pics of perhaps controversial mods. Thank you, Ugly C6 Dude! I hope it's not just visual. I hope he's made it into a barely-streetable fire-breathing 9-second monster, and has a videocamera mounted out the passenger window. Can you imagine getting whipped by something that ugly, after all the "laughing too hard" excuses? |

I assure everyone this is not photo shopped, I took the pictures myself, I threw the camera in the car incase I run into this beast again so I can get better high quality pictures of it.

That Vette is HAWT!
That explains the shortage of 3M double faced tape. |

It must have been done on a Double Dog Dare!:ack::ack::ack:

I've said it before.....this is a good reason why some Ferrari owners laugh at Corvettes. This is just a particularly good example of it, but we have all seen lesser examples also.

At least it's running. '06 still having rear end rebuilt. Been a week now.

I think in the "before" pics he was trying to ward off aliens, say does this guy wear tinfoil in his hat? Did he paint his calipers red? So dirty I cant tell, if so at least he got that right  |
I'm all for making the car your own... but f#*k me! I think if someone keyed his car it just might actually improve it.

LEO's please....this guy has gotta be drunk....get him off the road now!

Mod crazy...this is what can result.....why isn't this OK too?
My response whenever something like this shows up is the same. I don't like modded vettes. I like stock. The more severe the mods the less I like it.
Like someone says..."My '08 Z06 has 800hp and this and that etc". To me it's not a Z06. It's a modded Z06, not stock, and irrelevant to history. But, I say live and let live. When people want to put vinyl "hash marks" on their C6s I just chuckle. When they have their underhood insulation painted with F-15s or Bald Eagles or whatever I just smile. When they completely alter the stock appearance of their attractive base C6 and turn it into a "widebody" mod car I start to get disgusted. See, here's the thing, it's all a matter of degree. Some of you mod crazy types are actually counting the mods like it's a competition. I guess it is...who can get the most mods. So then we see this atrocious, disgusting, chrome nightmare. Uh, this is what happens when 3rd or 4th or 5th owners get the cars really cheap. It happens faster with Camaro type cars. This is why it's much easier to find original stock vettes from the 60s than Camaros. Yes, they are very expensive, but back then the vettes were seldom so extensively modded as now....but the Camaro/Mustang type cars were butchered by the FIRST owners and it was downhill from then on. It's almost impossible to find a first gen big block Camaro with the correct engine much less numbers matching. Which brings me back to this mess of a C6. Personally, this car doesn't bother me any more or less than a full widebody conversion. Now, go ahead, tell me I'm wrong or have no right to this opinion. But, it's just my opinion and a strong one. Stock is best. If you want to do radical mods get a junk car like a new Camaro. ( IMO ) So I say, as many many prior posts from NEW C6 owners say..."Let the mods begin." First day they get the car home the mod parts are waiting. Fine. Go for it. It's your car. But, there is no stopping this horse once it's out of the barn. You are trying to draw a line and say ....past this line mods are a bad thing......see...it's just a matter of where you draw the line. I draw it right around the car with almost no room for mods. Some extend the line a bit and add dress up parts for show...others get the underhood paint jobs , hash marks, special wheels you name it..... And every so often we see a C6 that makes it clear the owner has no limit ...no line.....anything goes! Frankly, I think the "mod" fraternity here should applaud this guy for his originality, creativity, and nerve. He's certainly exploring uncharted territory in C6 modding! He's no different than any other modder except by a matter of degree. |
That vette looks horrible, what was that guy thinking? He must have a screw loose or something.
|
I strongly suspect the owner has some issues.

It's a shame, but for some people the only "taste" they have is in their mouth.
Truly a shame what he has done to that car, hopefully he likes the way it looks when he sobers up from whatever crack he's been smoking! |
