The easy way to install:

1. Take out your OEM 3rd brake light/spoiler
2. Install the brake light into your new ZR1 style spoiler
3. Using lipstick or nail polish, mark each of the 3 outer bolts on each side.
4. Push your ZR1 style spoiler down into place by lining up the 4 center bolts with the holes already in your car from the factory.
5. Lift the spoiler up, the nail polish will mark exactly where you need to drill your new holes.

Good as long as you don't race the car on a track and hit 130MPH+ for extended periods of time. No extra parts, this simply bolts on.

OEM ZR1? If so, this uses the same holes.

If you have the GM racing full length, this uses holes about 1/2" off from the original locations, but this spoiler will cover all of those holes.

130? Would suck if it came off at 150. Why the 130? Has that all it has been tested to? Seems silly to put a 130mph rated part on a 180+mph car.

The point is to bolt it on the car, not tape it on. If you bolt it on, you can go 200mph and never worry about it. This was made to bolt on, we've had a few guys ask about tape. The tape is rated at 130.

Does this limitation apply to the REAR zr1 spoiler for the c6/z06? I do 160+ on AAA speedway.

(just to clarify) -pp

azZ06Mike 01-18-2011 08:07 AM

the 130mph limitation is only if you double side tape it to your vehicle. If you hard mount it and drill the necessary holes it is rated for the top speed of the vehicle.

No, if you bolt this down as we provide the hardware and suggest. You can do 180MPH all day long.

I saw a spoiler at a local dealer that I wanted to get. We walked over to their body shopped to get a price on installing it and they said $200 because they had to take their rear bumper or fascia off?! Does that sound right? It was not the ZR1 model you show here for sale, just the regular stock c6 model.

Are they really that tough to install? What all would I need as far as parts go?

Thanks,

Are they really that tough to install? What all would I need as far as parts go?

Thanks,

I cannot speak for the other spoiler, but our spoiler only requires you to remove 4 screws that hold in the taillights. Once they are gone, drill your holes and install. Takes about 20-30 minutes.

I ordered mine on 6/14/2011 and it is set for delivery on July 7th. I can't wait. I will take before and after pics and post them up. Thanks Josh and will keep you posted.

I ordered an Inferno Orange Grand Sport friday and it is set to be delivered Tuesday. I will be ordering this spoiler as soon as I get it. My question for you all. Does the spoiler really make a difference for a regular aggressive driver? I will not be taking it to the track (not that I know of but my kid races his WRX so maybe) but I will be driving the car as it should be when opportunities arrise or on the right roads.

I will tell you this is much cooler looking than the stock full width spoiler they offer when you purchase the car.

I didn't buy mine for any reason except for looks. They look AWESOME!!! And the price for it, painted to match you can't beat it. I wanna see some pics of the b4 and after. Later

If you buy the entire ZR1 kit it will help more with downforce. This spoiler is a big improvement over stock.
