Does anyone have a manual they can copy and email me???????? :D I need to know how to use all the functions of this unit. Thanks! Greg  |

Good luck with that. I did a quick google search and all that came up were people in forums looking for manuals...haha...
Maybe bite the bullet and get one. Then you can scan it and post it online and help everyone else out? |
I have it.... the exact manual... 12 pages including the covers. Suggest a good way of sending it... copy & fax?

just looked at the one I have, and it's the 161.210400.
Interesting that I bought it last year at an estate auction. This was the original purchaser and it had NEVER BEEN USED. The cables were still rubberbanded together (and the bands had rotted). I may have been the first person to ever connect it up to a car !!! here is a pic of the exact model I have: http://i4.ebayimg.com/02/i/03/4b/df/3e_12_sb.JPG Does anyone know the era of these devices? |
late 70's id guess. mine still works too. let the boy play with it

I have 161.2161. Bought it at an estate sale back in 1990.

i have an old sears penske, i got from my deceased father in law, any idea how old it is? works fine, manuals are falling apart though. 60's?? 70's??

I'd check eBay. Alot of 'good junk' out there. You may find an owners manual for it (if not today, someday). I use eBay more and more in my searching for parts, books and stuff.

Tom454 I have it.... the exact manual... 12 pages including the covers. Suggest a good way of sending it... copy & fax?
Tom, Any way of scanning it into something you can email me as an attachment?? Thanks!! Greg  |
I can scan it, but my scanner is "low tech"... an old Umax. It will take quite a while. I have to adjust/crop each page, and then edit/convert/resize each page. Can you email me a fax number?
|
Thanks Tom,
My FAX number has been emailed to you! Thanks for your help! Greg  |
Done !! Go pick it up. Have Fun
|
Tom,
Got it! You da man! :D Thanks Greg  |
Wonder if it the manual could be hosted on the www.corvettefaq.com website?

as i recall mine had a calibration screw...lets see you zeroed it out on something ....like touching the connectors together when you were in the points mode or something....it was long ago.... |
