How many anniversary red 50th c5 verts were made?
I have a 2003 50th. anniversary convertible 6sp and am about to enter it in our local auto show. I want to print up an info sheet on the car and would like to find out how many were produced in this configuration.
I contacted the Corvette Museum and they told me 7547 were made but were not able to tell me how many 6 spd's. Does anyone know if there is a source for this type of data. Thanks in advance. |
7,547 conv.and 4,085 coupes and of course no Z06's
|
There were 26834 2003 Corvette coupes and convertibles produced in 2003 of which there were 8590 6 speeds. I could not find out anywhere what the number of Anniversary Convertible 6 speeds alone where. This being said only 32% of the cars built were 6 speeds.
If one were to assume that there was an equal distribution through coupes and convertibles then there would be 2415 6 speed 50th AE Convertibles. Best I can do. |

Thanks everyone.
I think I will use the percentage given and just put an appoximate number on the info card for the 6 Spd. cars. |
Your exact answer is here: http://www.50thregistry.com/database/summary.html
Scroll down and enter in your vin #, or your equiped options and you will find out exactly how many AE's were built just like yours. For me there were 74 coupes configured the same way as mine and mine was the 9th one built of the 74!! Be sure to join the registry too, it will be the best $10.00 you ever spend! Full of information on the members' forums!! |

2856 2003 Anniversary manual transmission convertibles were made. 4691 with automatics.
With paint code 94U. None made with the Z51 option. |
Run them or not

This is incorrect information and should not be perpetuated. There was in fact a magnesium wheels option offered on C5s, but those are not what came (and were not available) with the 50th anniversary package. The factory 50th wheels were champagne colored painted aluminum.
