how about a smokin' deal

here's the story

A Tire Rack customer bought a Brembo Gran Turismo Big Brake kit

355mm 2-piece cross drilled rotors
red fixed 4-piston calipers
including all needed mounting hardware and brake lines

he then decided he wanted black calipers so he had them painted using G2 caliper paint

he spent $3149.00 plus shipping.

Then, he found out when he installed the kit his wheels did not clear them.

So, I have the 'used ' kit that has never been driven on that I can sell (with full warranty) for $2234.00 .....

there is only 1 of these .... first come first and only served

make no mistake this is the real deal when it comes to a BBK ....

Ultra High Performance Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System packages were developed to offer race-inspired braking components that are endowed with several significant advantages over a vehicle’s original braking system to provide superior braking time after time. They are for drivers who want to make a statement by substantially improving the looks and performance of their vehicle’s braking system.

While they are available for sports cars, sporty coupes, sedans, light trucks and SUVs, in most cases the Gran Turismo Brake System’s massive aluminum calipers and large diameter brake discs require the use of aftermarket wheels with the necessary brake clearance.

The wheel fitment specialists at The Tire Rack have developed a list of appropriate wheel options per vehicle based on the exact brake kit chosen. This information, designed to make your purchase of Gran Turismo Brake Systems easier and to ensure product compatibility, is available by speaking to any member of our sales team.

Brembo Gran Turismo Systems provide excellent stopping power in everyday traffic, as well as superior high performance street and track driving. They are designed to bolt onto the vehicle’s original suspension, and are fully compatible with the vehicle’s stock brake master cylinder and anti-lock braking system (ABS).

While most Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System packages have been developed specifically to replace the vehicle’s front brakes (due to the high braking demands encountered there), rear brake systems are also offered for selected applications. For vehicles not offering a Gran Turismo System for the rear axle, Brembo Sport brake rotors (slotted or drilled) are available to replace the stock rotors on the rear axle and provide a matched appearance on all four corners of the vehicle.

Gran Turismo Brake Systems packages combine high performance fixed aluminum brake calipers, large diameter 1- or 2-piece vented brake rotors, brake pads, stainless steel braided brake lines and aircraft quality mounting brackets and hardware. (See photo and chart below.) Brake caliper and rotor sizes are selected based on the vehicle’s requirements. In most cases, the aluminum calipers are available in red, sliver or black finishes. Additionally, the rotors feature plain, drilled, slotted, or drilled & slotted disc surfaces depending on the vehicle application and brake system selected. All cross-drilled holes are bi-angle chamfered at the rotor’s outer surfaces to help reduce the cracking caused by repeated, high stress, high temperature brake applications. Gran Turismo brake discs are coated for corrosion resistance to help eliminate rust and to offer a bold, aggressive appearance to enhance the look of the vehicle’s road wheels.

call me if interested

We graciuously allowe dhim to return them

He must not have wanted them that badly...otherwise he would have gotten new wheels so he could use them.
What size wheel will it take to clear??

And you took back 'used' parts? Just like that?

he was working with a ... we'll say "less knowledgable person" here who guaranteed that they would fit under his new wheels ..... so we did what we had to do .... we are an ethical company which does not mislead our customers .... and will do what it takes to make things right if we make a mistake

and remember these brakes have never been driven

Nice deal...I have to stop blowing money on other stuff so I can take advantage of deals like this.

Man, a $2-3K mistake and you guys stand behind it? Well, I'm not surprised.

That's why I've been dealing with you off and on for over ten years. You've always done the right thing by me and my friends.

Folks, this is not unusual behavior for the tire rack. If you need more examples, I can give them to you.

Only wish I had 18s on my car....

I am trying to find the schematic for the OE C6 wheels at this time but, the kit is designed for a C5 not a C6
