covering dash in leather

Dont want to sound like a dumb question but is it Possible to cover the dash pieces on a 86 vette with leather ? I will be going to Turkey in about 2 months and leather is very cheap there. I was thinking also about having them in Turkey make me seat covers in leather ( I was going to use my iggi seat covers as a pattern) Can you glue leather to plastic, and would it hold ?

you could just pull the leather over the dash and screw it down with the screws holding the dash on.

You can glue leather to plastic, once its cleaned sanded and de-oiled and greased, there's an art. did mine and after glueing it down, used plastic to secure under das with screws, so far so good

Is leather less likely to warp than plastic or something? I would think the heat from sun would heat up the leather and warp the dash underneath. Its the same thing that happens when you use a leather bra on the front bumper. Or is this different?

Yes, it can be done and has been done: My dash with leather on it

looks good. I wonder what it would look like on the early dash.
