64 owners survey - Raised Pad under door handle
 

Looking for information from all owners of 64 coupes and convertibles regarding the presence of the "raised pad" under the door handle.

If you have the original door skins on your 64 and are willing to provide your VIN in a 123XX (approximate) format, please post or email me to let me know if your car has the raised pad or not.

Nolan Adams book states the change from with to without the pad occured around VIN 15000.

This is just a sanity check.

My Sept '63 car has the pad.

105578 Nov 63 build. With raised pads.

I have raised pad. Oct 30 build date. VIN about 3600.

Great..keep'em coming !!

Also interested if the coupe and convertible changed at the same time.

Obviously, the door skin tooling is different.

Convertible, 1157XX, no raised pad.

S103099, has the pads

Coupe 40837S1013** has raised pads.

Convt. 98XX has pads.

My Oct 13, 1963 built coupe has the pads.

My fathers 64 has them and it was built in oct 63. I should say it did have them-a compressor came loose off a trailer and barrelled down a hill into the drivers door. Looking for a replacement currently.

I have raised pad on my 64 coupe, 105991 , Nov 29 1963 production date.

my convertible # 4126 has the pads

My #1000XX Sept.1 convertible has the raised pads.

Coupe # 1120XX (Feb. 26, I believe) has raised pads.

Convertible #S107731 (Dec. 1963) has the raised pads.

Convertible 97XX, about Jan. 24, has the pads.

:thumbs: My 4347 '64 convertable, built on November 3, 1963 has the raised door handle pads.
