:iagree:
Anything and everything by John Hinckley. John knows his stuff.
Assembly Instruction Manuals (AIMs)
Vette Views
Birthplace of Legends Peter LiCastro's book about St. Louis production.
The 1969 Corvette Guidebook by Rick Bizzoco. Good reading regardless of whether you own a '69.
All Corvettes Are Red Very good reading concerning the development of the C5.
Dave McLellan's book
Ray Miller's The Real Corvette
Corvette Buyer's Guide by Michael Antonick
Any and all of the NCRS publications.

It's a toss up on Corvette magazines. I prefer Corvette Enthusiast. Corvette Fever and Vette Magazine are also available, but these two don't hold my interest like they used to.

Personally, I stay away from the generic reference/reading sources which attempt to cover GM makes in general and not Corvette specific.

One of my favs is: Vette Vues Fact Book of the 1963-1967 Sting Ray
By M.F. Dobbins. Very informative and lots of pictures.

I can see this thread is going to cost me a fortune!

Keep them coming!

I notice a lot of these titles refer to the chrome bumpers:
Anything that is good for a '76 ?

Two more excellent, factual books are Corvette, Americas Star Spangled Sports Car by Karl Lugvidsen and Corvette 1968 thru 1982 by Mike Mueller.

Both great source of information! I have a fairly extensive Corvette Library and these two are often used.

Black Book would not have been my first choice but Assembly Manual was in fact my first choice when I started my restoration of my car.
To adequately answer your question it depends on what your intention is; restoration, upkeep, maintenance, reading for enjoyment or general knowledge, etc.???

Maybe we could get Lars to write a book!

Not really Corvette books, but the two books, "Chevrolet by the Numbers" by Alan L. Colvin are great. There's a 1965-1969 book and a 1970-1975. Great reference guide for parts and casting numbers,..engines installed in what cars in which years, etc.

Good stuff.
