Edlebrock 8867 carbs cfm?
 

THe manifold is an edlebrock c26 with 2 carbs. They are numbered edlebrock 8867. They are on a 39700010 block. Any guess as to the carbs cfm rating? Thanks DEan

2 ladies did not know the carbs cfm either
 

:) helpers magicv8 says the carbs are 500 cfm, some guys were guessing the other size, One said 38's, the other said 4gs.

Have you tried asking Edelbrock? I keep some data for carter AFBs, but not for aftermarket carbs, since the vendors are still out there.

Thanks, They are set up so just one or both can work depending on linkage setting. It runs fine on one , and I have not had time to try it with 2. Dean

From the Mustang forum:

"The Edelbrock on my car now has 1407 2111 stamped on the front driver's side where it bolts to the manifold. It has a 8867 on top.

1407 is a manual choke 750 cfm"

IMO one 750 cfm is too big for a 327. If yours also has the 1407 on it, and the above info is correct, one carb is enough for an sb.

I am guessing that 8867 is the air horn part number. If your carb has 1406 stamped on it, it is a 600cfm according to the Mustang forum post.

the front carb 1404 0813, assume rear is the same. Perhaps they are 450's and The linkage should be adjusted to run both and it will really wake up. It runs fine now and prev owner said he adjusted for gas mpg. Dean

500 cfm according to the one for sale on ebay, which indicates the second one should be needed when 355cu.in./1728cu.in./cu.ft. are turning 4866 rpm with a 4 cycle engine (every other down stroke is intake)??

Essentially, if the secondaries of both carbs have a counterweighted air valve above the venturis, the engine should run on the primaries (of both carbs) and part of the secondaries as it approaches redline at WOT. The air valves should regulate the secondary openings according to manifold flow.

PS what king of rad is that, and does the car have a hood scoop? I can't tell from the pic.
