There wasn't one on my '85 but it isn't hard to hook up, just run wires down the pass. side A pillar and make all needed connections under the dash behind the radio.

i bought one of these on ebay. Best upgrade i ever did. it adds much need light at night. Take the upper molding off and the wire/plug should be right there.

Wiring was there on my '86. Nice upgrade.

If I am not mistaken, and please correct me if I am wrong, but the lighted rear view mirror didn't show up on the Vette until the appearance of the convertible in 86. If that is the case, 84's and 85's won't have the plug under the moulding (maybe early 86's as well). If that is indeed the case, you'll have to separately run the wires to give the mirror lights power.

I needed a new rear view mirror for 85 and found a lighted one way cheaper than the non-lit stocker, so I bought it. Its installed, but I haven't hooked up the lights yet. I had planned to tap into the wiring for the lights on the visor to get power to the lights.

My original '85 harness did NOT have a connector in the middle for a lighted rear view mirror. My '86 and '90 harnesses did. Looks like they added the connector in '86 to all cars.

if installing a lighted mirror in a '84 or '85 you could just tap into the wires that lead to the vanity mirror on the sun visor.

My 87 has it, I didn't find out until last night!
