I first started watching this thread some years ago when I was doing my own restoration on a '70 Corvette which I completed and later sold. I'm reading this from a Navy ship in the Mediterranean right now, I was curious to see how the project turned out. I would only inject the following...I did my car in a home garage with very limited resources and other demands on my time, it took a hell of a lot of hard work, and in the end I was happy with the result. But this thing, Jeremy...the work you did on this car, considering your absolute lack of experience at the outset...nothing short of absolutely STUNNING. So many of these projects start out with a big head of steam and then slowly lose momentum, peter out, get sold, and die an unfortunate death, but the true measure of a man is one who finishes what he started and you did that here in VERY impressive fashion. You have laid a great foundation for future projects and I would heartily encourage you to find another one to jump into.
And with regard to the bumps in the road...du-du happens, all the time. Murphy is always lurking around the corner with projects like these, and automobiles are complicated machines. Looks like you learned some very valuable lessons, though...
Amazing job, young man.
