Does it rain every day in FL????

Okay you know if I was home in Carolina I would be happy it's raining. However I've been in Melbourne for the last three days and it seems it's always raining... :willy: :willy: :willy: :willy: How do you guys deal with it and still keep your Vette's clean?? :D

Uh...between June 1 and November 1st, yes.

You either don't drive it if you really think its going to rain, or like me you get less anal the longer you live here, and just drive in it and wash it later. :yesnod:

Still, Nov 1 to June 1 still makes up for it. Its a fair trade.

Dave,
Paige is down in Daytona all week and says it has rained every day. None here in Eastern NC (my house anyway)

Yeah I drove through there yesterday and guess what it was RAINING!!!!

I thought I might be able to see some cars at a cruise in or something while down here. Just need something to do besides sit in a bar or hotel..

Guaranteed to rain around this time beginning around 3:00 PM. Then it clears up after a quick downpour and back to sunny weather. Guess it's a small price to pay for paradise.

Bet you won't complain around Oct - March though :D

How about you guys sending some of that to the western part of the Carolinas?:leaving:

When I was down there in early-mid July I was wondering how the vette owners down there keep their cars clean! I'd be beating my head against a wall because after it rained I'd feel compelled to dry the car off and then of course it would rain again and then I would have to dry it again and then........:ack:

The panhandle isn't any different up here either! Pretty much plan on an afternoon thunderstorm at about 2 to 4ish then clear and muggy from all the rain driving the humidity through the roof. It's just something you are used to if you've grown up here so it doesn't bother me so much. If I were from somewhere else then I could see how it would drive you bonkers! :ack: I'll still take that over any of the "big" storms that we tend to see around Sept and Oct!

I work right on the beach at Patrick Air Force Base. It's not the rain I worry about, it's the salt. The rain actually cleanses. I don't drive the Vette to work in the summmer with easterly component winds. The salt is greasy and really hard to get out of all the small places, not to mention corrosive! Much worse than cleaning up after a little rain.
