12 doesn't equal no codes

Actually 12 is like quotation marks. What it coded are between the SES ==> flash ... flash flash... your other codes .... flash ... flash flash.

So you will always have a 12 to start and finish. It only means no codes if there are no other coded present.

What year car do you have?

Its a 1991....L98...Wow...none of the codes are air bag related...The inflatable restraint light is irritating.Im probably going to have to have a shop put a scan tool on it.I think thats the only way to reset the IR light anyways.

Usually this happens on 90 Vettes but a 91 I thought they corrected the problem. Anyway it sounds like the right front frame sensor is bad or has a grounding problem. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY when doing any work on this system. Remove the side gill panel behind the right side wheel. Then you have to remove the washer solvent tank to get to the sensor. You will see a small square sensor sitting on top of the frame near the firewall. Remove it and take a Dremel tool or Drill with a small drum sander on it and clean the paint and rust off the frame where the sensor sits. Also clean the bottom of the sensor really well and put a good coating of Dielectric Grease on the bottom of the sensor and frame and re-install it. I used small star washers on the bolts to dig in and make a better ground. You could do the drivers side too while your at it. RE CONNECT the Battery and clear your codes out. If this don't work you probabally have a bad sensor. You will have to unplug them and check OHM'S on em to find out which one is bad. Pipe:thumbs:
