Florida's biggest auto museum is about to open up!

So i found out through a friend of mine a year ago, that there was this man in PG who has a massive collection of Corvette's. I believe it's over 200+ cars, and has purchased the old walmart building here in punta gorda fl to convert into a massive corvette showcase! It's not open to the public yet, and its still kind of unknown to others at this point...
I want to find out what the deal is, because with myself being a corvette buff and college student it would be the perfect job for me! Heck I could even show off my car at work, would life get any better? Please give me some references incase the person happens to be on the boards!

Will be interesting to hear if this opens up. Depending on what cars are in that collection, it could be a nice place to visit.

Once this is done at the old walmart location it is going to be amazing, those pics are from his old garage. I hope I can get a job there as its right around the corner from my college! Thanks to a great man I have yet to meet, he truly completed the "american dream."

Any word as to how long it will be before his new place is open?
We're headed to Naples in November and PG is just a short trip.....

I will find out some more info on it, as I am very interested myself. I'll have to take a cruise over to the old walmart and see if theres any information! Tourism in this area will be booming in the near future.

Does anyone have a contact phone number for Rick Treworgy, owner of the collection? I have three(3) GM/Pontiac Prototype Vehicles in my collection that I may want to share with him. You can PM me the number. Thanks....

I actually visited Rick's collection about 2 years ago.
A buddy of mine does part time work for Rick and arranged for our tour.
This was before he had all the lifts you see. He "only" had about 60 cars at that time.
He has aquired so many after that, that he had to buy the Wal Mart to display them all.
Rick can often be seen on tv on the reruns of the Mecum auctions on Sat. night, usually right there in the front row.
After seeing all his new additions, it looks like I better schedule a return visit.
