Crate motor casting number 10243880= ?
 

Hi, I just purchased a C-2 vette with a crate motor . The info on left rear of block : GM 5.7L New Mexico . Rt rear of block casting number 10243880. Seller said it was purchased from Jegs as a complete engine minus carb,exhaust manifold etc.and is a 350 with 355 hp. ZZ4. Does this block casting number match up to the description on Jegs web site? If this is correct I have 4 bolt mains,a roller cam and Nice valves/heads. Has a Holley 600cfm and headers. Thanks Dean:flag:

my ZZ4 block has a stamp pad on the front of the engine (passenger side) with the casting number and ZZ4 stamped on it.

Thanks I will check it when I pick it up ,Since It was a crate motor I did not even look on rt front pad for suffix and vin. I was surprised to see the cast number on rt side of block instead of left as in period 327 engines . It sounds great and has healthy oil pressure. Dean:flag:

Ok i have a motor that has 10243880 can anybody tell me what vehicle's it possibly came out of trying to match a starter to it its currently in 86 high sierra 1500 4x4
