2 DIC codes in 2000 coupe
 

2000 coupe A4 auto....been getting the service trac and ABS lights so I chekced in the DIC and I got the dreaded 28-TCS C1243 H code. BPMV pump motor stall. Gonna try Greg Oches massage the motor method. I also got the A6-SCM B 2860 H code which would explain why my steering column doesn't always retract or extend. What and where do I check and fix. The 2860 code designation is telescoping column position failure. But as to where I begin for a repair I have no clue. Any ideas?

I had the 1243 code also, the thread you speak of is a good one. It would immediately jump up to 20Amps when I manually ran mine, it also sounded nasty. I recently replaced the BPMV and all is well now.
