2007 vs 2008 Z06
Besides being one year newer is there any major reason to consider a 2008 Z06 over a 2007 model ? Both vehicles are low mileage and appear to be in good condition. I would appreciate your responses.

The only major changes they made are to the steering which offer a better feel IMO, and a different transmission.
Minor change.... I like the "carbon fiber look" center console better.. |

Plus read this thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...breakdown.html In addition to the above thread? Be SURE YOU TELL the dealer to check, and certify in writing neither car's ever had a "tune". Y'hear? :yesnod: "Tunes" and other modification(s), in case you didn't know, void the warranty. One never wants to find out their car's warranty has been rendered useless if and/or when they need it with one of these car. Good luck, the Zs are an indescribably great car. |

Thanks. I am cautious about the tune issue as well. :ack: |
The 2007 Z06 is a great car, but the main problem is most used 2007's are priced very close and sometimes higher than the 2008 Z06 cars.
|
Just me - but given the closeness in price, I'd avoid 07s and whole rocker issue with it.

I'd probably buy the '07, replace the rockers with an OEM set, and not have to deal with possible tranny problems.
|
Sorry, I know this is old, but what was the rocker issue with the '07's?

The 06 and 07's are more closely related. Why not consider an 06? Some killer deals can be had on insane low mileage cars plus they are pretty solid cars with no rocker issues that have been found on some 07's.
My friend bought a 06 2LZ with 1500 miles!!!!!!! for 44K with warranty! |
I agree with JTS97Z28, I just picked up an '06 with 14k miles in absolute MINT condition for $41,500. Oh and it had a Bassani exhaust which was a nice bonus.
