Lighted Rear View Mirror for '74
 

The lighted rear view mirror on my '74 vert is not looking so good, but I have not been able to find a replacement mirror with the light. Does anyone know a source? Maybe a different year will work?

My 75 had the same issue, so I replaced the mirror glass and cleaned up and repainted the rest of it. It came out good.

Did you get the mirror glass from a glass shop or did you order a standard mirror and take it apart?

When taking apart the new or old mirror, how did you separate the mirror from the housing?

This is the mirror glass. I just used a razor blade to carefully seperate the old glass from the rubber.

What glue did you use to reinstall the glass?

I used ultra black rtv silicone, but I think 3M black weather strip adheisive would work good too.
