Rather than epoxy coating the floor you might want to consider polishing it, it's becoming more and more popular... And with a virgin clean floor it will look great, IMO... You can even dye the concrete when polishing so give it some color if you want...

Bill, those are the first pics I've posted up of my new place. I'm in Katy near Katy High, but south of 10. That was what it looked like before I moved in. I just staged the Vette for some photos and had it parked way out of the way so the movers would steer clear of it.
At some point, I'll get it cleaned up and host a mod party over hear. You may have to bring your cooker and do the ribs though!! Yeah, mine hasn't looked that nice since the floor went in the week after I closed. I've only been here a few months, and I'm not letting myself play outside in the garage until I finish basic unpacking/arranging in the house. Here's a pic I took last week. Shows a lot of the mess. To my right are a ton of boxes and all the Christmas stuff that will ultimately get hauled up to the attic. I'm going to buy a shed at some point to get all the other stuff out of my garage! What you can't see in that pic is all the dirt/mud. My neighborhood is still under construction, so under the BMW is litterally muddy tire tracks. I've swept some of the other parts a few times, but I'm going to have to break down and buy one of those janitor mops/yellow buckets at some point and learn how to use it. The sign in the corner says Chris' Corvette Garage and Speed Shop - Go Fast or Go Home. It's also got an est 2009 since that is when the house was built. Got it off ebay. Nice wood sign with lettering on both sides. Very slick! chris |
Mine isn't that big, but here are a couple pictures. I put in the 4 post lift (I highly recommend one) and then built the cabinets to fit in front and added the Corvette artwork which I created on my CAD program and cut out with the school's (where I teach) CNC Plasma cutter.

It's a BENDPAK HD9 variation (9,000#). Several members here have them.
They're available in 37 1/4" width between the runways or 44" width. They're available in different lengths of runways. Mine is adjustable to either width, but I have the standard runway length. My Z16 fits perfect on it, but my Silverado Crew cab will just fit onto the runways. I found the narrower width leaves little room for error when driving on to, so the wider width is better suited for my Z16. One side runway is adjustable for wider cars/trucks/SUV vehicles. If your car is really lowered, it'll scrape the front air damn, maybe the frame rails. I made wood approach ramps beneath the ramps, which allows me to clear w/o scraping. My car is lowered on oem bolts/bushings. http://www.bendpak.com/ http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...p011608006.jpg |

You garage buffs might enjoy www.garagejournal.com. I am not affiliated with them in any way, but it's a very nicely run garage-specific forum. You can get lost for hours looking at build threads. You'll find your self wanting tools you never knew you "needed".
Some very nice setups showin i this thread. |

I am in the same boat. Mine is pretty plain. Once I get my basement finished I will focus on the garage.
