T-10 Leak & Gasket Help

Hey Guys,

So my crank broke in my vette and I'm swapping in a 350 to get me through the rest of the summer. While i was in there I want to put new seals on the input and output shaft of the t-10 since it leaves a nice little puddle in the garage. I found the seals but I couldn't find the front bearing retainer gasket at the parts store. Can I just use rtv for now(i'm swapping in a t5 this winter)? Or will that mess up clearances in the transmission?

Thanks

Make one out of gasket material available at auto parts store

Good grief, just get a gasket set from one of the tranny rebuild guys--------------------------and it's probably cheaper than buying individual gaskets at the auto parts store!
I ONLY use Larry Fischer of D and L Transmission. http://www.dandltransmission.com/

Tom,

Those are some really great prices. I called there earlier and unfortunately they don't take credit card payments for less than 20 dollars so a personal check needs to be mailed in. It would take two weeks for me to get the kit and I wanted to get everything finished up this weekend so that doesn't help me at all. I will keep them in mind for when I work on my T5.

Thanks
