Silver Z06 with gray or black wheels

Alright, I have a 2006 machine silver Z06 getting ready to put new wheels and tires on her. I'm leaning towards going in the darker direction maybe comp grey or black. Please if anyone has thoughts, pics, or any ideas for how the silver would look please fill free to post.. Please C6's only thanks.

Let's see em!

Do you mind custom wheels, or do you prefer stock?
The Katech Club Sport has OZ wheels, I think they would perfectly match your car!

Go black Grand Sport wheels. Same size as the Z wheels and show off those brakes

Sweetness! Can I ask how much those spiders set you back? Oem? Chrome? Assume yes.
Where did you get them?

I don't mind custom wheels and I would certainly love to be able to afford some of the nicer forged wheels, but I don't think the budget can handle it right now. May have to stay towards the repro's or stock look.

The chrome spyders do look good as well! Thanks for the replies.

Thanks! They're OEM repro's. I got them from WCC, used my same tires and sensors. Worked out real well. They were $1000 shipped for Z06 sizes.

More I look at the chrome spyders the more I like em. I'm thinking of going with the Nitto Invo's for the tires any thoughts on this combo?

I'm still running the factory GY's because they still have plenty of tread on them, but I hear the Invo's are good. I get at least one compliment a day on my wheels

Those are not made by OZ.

What a deal! I can probably switch my OEM polished over and have some cash left over for some motor oil!
Might do it.

Where are the pics of the Silver Z w/ black wheels? Seen lots of Comp Grey, which looks good...but sometimes it looks kind of purple-ish.

That, or do what I'm doing and sell your old wheels. I'll probably get $400 out of my polished ones, so when it's all said and done, I would have only spent $600 total on some great wheels :)

avavette....I think thats his screen name, has a silver Z w/ stock wheels powdercoated black with a red stripe and the car looks amazing.

I'm a sucker for black wheels. Just bought a set of black-chrome spyders for my black Z.

I went with chrome ZR1 wheels and tires. I'm thinking of getting a black set of OZ or gun metal in the same ZR1 size. there was a thread of a silver ZR1 with gun metal wheels I think they were 360forge wheels that looked the best I've seen if I find it I will post link.

Regarding going the repro route....are the repro wheels (such as from WCC) heavier than the OEM wheels? From what I have read, the stock double spoke 5 stars made by Speedline are very light, especially when comparing them to aftermarket 3 piece rims.
