A/C belt with SLP 25% underdrive?

Hey guys,

I thought I had the right A/C belt on my c5 with SLP underdrive but it began squeeking like crazy and drove me insane. It was too lose but I bought the one recommended off their website. What length a/c belt should I get to keep it tight so it won't squeek?

Oh, and are gatorbelts really that great at not squeeking?

Thanks, -Ryan

im going to wait to see whato thers reply as well. im in the same predicament. but i wont tell you to "search" like others will. a search of this topic landed me 3 different SIZE belts for the SLP/Powerbond pulley. if you get your answer i'd love to know, i have that pulley in the mail as we speak. good luck!

also, yes the gatorbacks fixed the squeak on my stock setup like a charm! id definitely run them again if i can get the part numbers for the SLP pulley!

Yes, I did a search but came up with a few different sizes. Any help would be appreciated.

For the long belt on a 25% underdrive you need . . . .

Gatorback #4060775 Metric #6PK1970

and if you are 25% underdriving the air conditioning pump you need . .

Gatorback #4040400 Metric #4PK1015

Summit Racing has both.

Ryan, step it up to the next belt longer than what is on there, there is not enough tension from the idler on the belt.

does the SLP pulley underdrive the AC now too or just the main belt?

The new Powerbond underdrive that I got from SDPC did and I thought the SLP was the same, BUT I'm not sure.

It was too loose, I'm thinking about going the next step down from what I had?

I'm pretty sure it underdrives everything 25%. That's where the power comes from by underdriving the accessories, right?

Worst that can happen is that your out $10 for an AC belt that's too short. :D

I'm a ruhtard, that was supposed to be shorter not longer

I don't think the AC belt is underdriven.

My Powerbond DOES NOT under drive the AC. About 1.5 years old.
