Mid Ohio 2011 pics
Have not had much time to go through all of my 900 pictures. Here are a few sneak peaks in advance.
Did the Falken girls know about the forth coming rain? Hmmm...... http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MO18.jpg Maybe I should have stolen their rain tires when I had the chance? http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MO20.jpg 458, Sweet! http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MO2.jpg I offered to help them push her out. They politely said no thanks. :( http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MO4.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MO7.jpg A lot of activity going on. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MO9.jpg All ready to race. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MO15.jpg One of my favorites. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MO19.jpg Do you see a car in this pic? http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MO17.jpg Pre race interview with Jan Magnussen. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...2011/MO004.jpg The Race! http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MOXX.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MOu.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MOP.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MOFF.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...11/MOXXXXX.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...2011/MOAAA.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...02011/MOAA.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MOA.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...202011/MOS.jpg Sorry, I did not get any rain pics with all of the cars sliding off the track. It was exciting to watch. Without the rain, I think Corvette Racing would have brought home the victory. PS - The Corvette Racing Team was incredible. They were extremely professional and very friendly. I don't think I will ever forget this day. I have to say that the opposing race camps were equally as gracious. This is truly an amazing sport. I also have to give props to Mid Ohio for hosting such an incredible event. |

Yeah, without the rain I think a 1-2 finish was DAMN possible, but a 1-3 finish was likely. I was sitting in the grandstand #2 by turn 4 when the monsoon hit. I sat it out and was SOAKED. I got some great vette shirts from their paddock tent.
I'll be at Road America in two weeks as well. I'm selling my vintage 1969 SCCA racecar with logs back to 1972. It raced with Greenwood, Guldstrand and more. Hopin to find a buyer for that baby! #39 blue 1969 fully restored. If you see me, say hi! |
They are making these VWs look like Porsche !!!

I wonder how much those girls make from doing that? My girlfriend has been doing bikini contest for extra cash but this is something she could do and I'd actually want to come along! Picture for reference (she's #2 in the middle) :):

What a great day, my first ALMS race. I was a guest in the Cadillac observation deck located in the s's. The action was great! (except the vette that spun out our buddy Johnny O'connell)
On a side note, a gm designer told me to sell my z06, as the c7 vette is awesome. World class interior, with incredible lines!! |

World class interior, with incredible lines!! 1) does is look like that stupid split window throwback in Transformers? Vette won't leave racing, so the car should be geared directly towards racing dominance. For that reason I'm fairly at ease awaiting this C7. See you all at Road America! I'm bringing my #39 vintage '69 racecar to hopefully sell if I'm lucky. I'll be running HPDE I suppose...so...that'll be me. |
