Thanks, Chas. It runs well, too.

Mr Ferman that owned a bait shop in Tampa had one about like it that just sat under the carport for years, this was back around 1982.

Interesting. As far as I know this was a Florida car and it was restored in a shop just north of Tampa. FYI, one of the previous owners told me that this car sat for 20 years. I wonder if it would be possible to check with Mr. Ferman to see if this was his car. Given the color combination, it is a rare and unusual R/T.

Nice looking car:cheers:

I had a Vert 440CI in that color (black top) bought in 5 67; rare hemi auto tranny (only the first few had that and then they went to the smaller Torqueflight) KH disks, buckets, console & floor shift.

Wish I had some spare money that car is

Thank you!! I waxed the upper surfaces of the RT and my Road Runner today. Even I think they both look awesome.

My Ferman kicked the bucket about 20 years ago. He was around 75 to 80 back around 1982 when i hung out at the bait shop. I remember the car was sitting under a carport behind the baithouse for years and was about the same color as your car, and it also had the same factory tires on the car in 1982. The baithouse was on the Courtney Campbell causeway next to Tampa Airport. Mr Ferman had a house behind the baithouse as well, and i lived in Danashores behind the baithouse.

I do know that car was in that carport for years and Mr Ferman would drive it from time to time.

It would be neat to know whether or not this is the same car. I read some of the older notes on the car and they did mention that the original owner had passed away.

I asked several previous owners re history when I first bought the car and was only able to trace it back to the 90s. I may try a FL title history search.

:iagree: That would be amazing if this turns out to be the same car!! Keep us posted!!

Still available for a firm $35K. This is an excellent, real 67 R/T with a 4-speed.

67435animal 04-21-2012 05:14 PM

Coronet has a buyer who will inspect the car Monday; he has already arranged transport back to Iowa. The Coronet will be located 90 miles from the guy who owned it from 97 - 03.

67435animal 04-23-2012 04:34 PM

The deal for the Coronet has been done. It will be on a truck tomorrow heading for Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I will miss it but onward with the search for a 4-speed hemi car.
