Well the cab is welded back together and it fits pretty good . next week we will start fitting the nose . http://forums.corvetteforum.com/atta...1&d=1316730419

Pauly, between you and Brett you both take on some hell bent projects. It looks good. Keep us posted. We will see you in FL. in Jan.
|
Looks like a good fit, good job, that is a project I would like to see when it is finished.
|
very good job. what doors are those. they fit fairly good for just a early start. way to go jim
|
I guess I missed something on this. Why not just buy a '63 split window? Why convert a '67 to a split window?
If it is the big block and the disk brakes, you can always add them to a '63. |

Can't wait to see the finished product! The perfect car to take to a Corvette event and make the "experts" go nuts! Too much fun.

Paul,
Thanks for the tour of the shop today. Like I said, I checked GM historical records and Harley Earl did in fact commission one Split Window '67:thumbs: Fred ps. Send me photos of the Daimler SP250 when it's done:cool: |
When I tell people that I have a 65 coupe quite a few ask "Oh, is it a splil window"
I get tired of explaining the whole thing. This way you will be able to say YES, it is a split window. |
Sweet!
|
A 67 split window. I like it. To make it even better you need a big block with fuel injection. That way all the neophytes at car shows can tell their disbelieving friends what they saw. I guess using metal body panels is out of the question at this point. I suppose to make it even more unbelievable you could turn it into a 4 door as well.

This will be one great BASTARD Vette once Pauly's done with it.
This is the fun stuff that's a joy to build, unlike the #'s matching cookie cutter cars. Way to go, Pauly. See you in January! |
:iagree::iagree::iagree:
This is what Hot Rodding is all about not queering out over bolt markings and overspray . :hide: |

See you in January! Sure is fun making the purists nuts , But when you start with so little car What else do you do with it ? sell the valuable moldings off of it then sell the fiberglass part to some dummy who thinks he can build a car out of whats left?I am doing a public service , saving people from themselves and winding up with a car that is far more fun to drive than some primadonna trailer queen. see you guys in Fla. |
67 Split is in primer

first coat of high build primer is on . This thing fits better than ANY no hit car I have ever seen :rofl:http://forums.corvetteforum.com/atta...1&d=1319160233

If you really want to bend some minds, may I suggest installing '63-'64 style non-functional horizontal "gills" on ONE front fender, and leave the functional '67 vents on the other?
People walking up on the "'63" side will think it's a mild custom SWC 'til they notice the rectangular center back-up light! |

frames are almost ready for the coupe and conv. all powder coated and all bolt on parts either new or rebuilt . Makes it a lot easier when you are building 2 at a time . you can build 2 almost as fast as one

Should have used an early door on 1 side and a late door on the other. :D
|
Beautiful workmanship. Building two at once, sounds like quite a challenge. Now that I have C2 it will be fun following your progress.

gotta love it Paul, lookin forward to seeing the finished product...

Great job. I love screwing with the purist. After doing a nut and bolt correct restoration. I swore I'd poke my eyes out before I ever did another one . Your basically doing a GM jigsaw puzzle. None of your own input.
Good Luck: John McDontcorrectme |
