Dallas Performance Direct Port Methanol Injection
2 Attachment(s)
Well if 2 are better than 1... 8 must really be better :D
I've been wanting to complete this setup for a while but it's finally finished. It's no secret that fuel doesn't like to turn. This takes care of a lot of the crap shoot that goes on with a traditional single or dual nozzle meth injection setup. We are using 8 nozzles in this configuration - 4 per bank with a distribution block on each bank. Very similar to a mechanical alcohol injection setup. I'd highly recommend this combo for guys that are wanting to heavily rely on meth injection as a fuel source. I'd be willing to bet that most of you guys are. :flag: |
Looks amazing, Taylor.
Are you still feeding it with the typical AlkyControl pump? |
So I take it you can get really aggressive with the timing with this direct injection? Since Im use to seeing the IAT effect from the meth and gains how would you judge the gains on this direct injection kit since it is downstream of the IAT sensor directly into the cylinder. Not knocking it Im asking because Im interested. And Im getting prepped to do something close like this on a ZR1.

Flawless Victory!! Looks great man.

You can also run a pressure gauge on the methanol system in the car to monitor. You can add a small 9th nozzle to still enable a temp drop across the IAT sensor located in the charge tubing. Etc. |
Thanks for the reply Taylor. Its really looks nice. Do you have this going on any of your monster builds? :)

Sending this to a customer in Germany along with a pallet of parts and then flying over for tuning later in the year.

thats FING INSANE !!!!

Taylor, have you put any thought into running two nozzles in the charge pipe and tapping into the rails? Just use a fuel solenoid and activate it how ever you want.. Of coarse this would be on E85.. This way you never have to worry about keeping the tank full.. Something to think about, and if the 60 psi base isn't enough psi for meth nozzles you could use single nozzle fuel nozzles..
|
Thats an amazing looking setup.
|
Taylor, have you done any testing on how this compears to charge pipe mounted jets? Have you thought about mounting the jets higher up in the intake track to give more time for the meth to evaperate?
Chris. |
How do you think this would work with water injection? I use a meth system for IATs only, and will actually end up running pure water out of two M15s. I'm just curious if the water would vaporize enough in that short of a distance to the cylinders.
