Auto Rear Axle Ratio 3.07, Is this Good?
Just reviewed my RPO's and noticed that the car has a G92 Performance Rear Axle with a G44 ratio of 3.07. Is this a good rearend on an auto tranny? If not what's better for every day use, but with a heavy foot at times?

3.07 is good.. it doesnt have the acceleration of an aftermarket 3.73, or the gas milage of the 2.59s.. but it is definatly a lot more peppy then the 2.59s..

3.07 is ok for the automatic, since you have an LT1, 3.54 or 3.73 would be a nice upgrade, but stock is fine.

Im guessing you have a '95 with the LT1. The 3.07 seems to be a decent ratio but for the LT1 you could get some good use out of 3.54s or if you really want to go for it 3.73s.

It is the best factory ratio for automatics that year.

If you do highway driving for any extended period of time this is probably what you want to stick with.
