Front C7 Bumper Leaked...?

Video just posted... They say C6 bumper, but it is not. At the last part of the video - you can see an actual bumper...

Thoughts?

At last, a supplier leak!

Yes, new logo shape . . . new headlights and DRL placement. C7 front bumper!

As far as the front is concerned, I like what I can see so far. They have kept the front somewhat pointed. I don't like the flatened front ends that Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo have adopted to meet the European pedestrian standards. If the C7 will be sold in Europe, won't it need to meet the same standards or does it get an exemption because it is not sold in large quantities?

Not just the front, the rear as well it appears.

Looks like Jalopnik nailed it.

Looks like the inside of the bumper possibly. and the tail lights look really small in comparison to the drill...just an observation but maybe that is just a mold of the new bumper, exciting to see a hint of something either way.:woohoo:

There's a few more subtle lines in the front fascia that aren't noticeable in the Jalopnik rendering. Looks much sharper than the current car's nose. More aggressive. I approve.

I also like how the crossed flags will be set into the panels instead of just sitting on top. Makes it look more like a quality piece.

Nice Find! Finally a confirmation of Jalopnik's rendering. Nice to see confirmation of the upswept-flag emblem too.

BAD_TCR 07-09-2012 01:29 PM

for sure this is rear and front stuff for the new C7- like the new cross flags, very aggressive. Looks like Jalopnik was correct- side markers match up, rear matches up, spoiler slot, etc- not that i ever really doubted it. Here's a few more screen shots.

- this looks like first look at the rear spoiler area for a NON-ZR1 C7-

Yes, it does appear jalopnik nailed it, i can hear the gnashing of teeth from some members already.....

Nice find! It certainly validates the Jalopnik renderings.

Somebody gonna get spanked for this one.

Anyone willing to guess how long until they take the video down?

Cheers,
JB

:iagree:

Take away Jalopnik's ZR1 spoiler with its higher CHMSL and you can see how the fastback roofline flows into a low slim CHMSL.

So this whole time my source inside GM was telling me the truth. Jalopnik agrees also. I'm excited!

mowe 07-09-2012 02:12 PM

awesome !!!

John T 07-09-2012 02:20 PM

Odd that a billion dollar company would create and show this video.... I am sure they produce plastic for many applications , and yet they pick the 2014 Corvette...

DREAMERAK 07-09-2012 02:20 PM

Anyone think this might be a strategic leak by GM?
