Question for Grand Sport owners + Race Ramps.

I am about to pull the trigger on a pair of two piece 67 inch Race Ramps. I have a question for other Grand Sport owners who own them. Can you drive your GS on them with out using the extenders?

Race Ramps for GS

There's a good picture of a GS with the RLL-72-2 ramps (6.8˚ initial incline) at this link in post #4:

You will also find some graphs that may be helpful. The RLL-72-2 and RLL-87-2 two-stage incline ramps qualify for the current $25 factory rebate (thru 31-Dec-2012).

You can buy Rhino ramps and just drive over 2x6s (or 2x8s) and call it a day :D. Or better yet, just lift the car and put it over the Rhino ramps, like I do (don't like driving a manual car over ramps). And if you need the car level on the air, put the rear on jack stands after putting the front on the ramps. Works like a charm, and less expense and clutter in the garage . But you need a low profile jack, and I chose a Craftsman aluminum racing jack (2.5T), which reaches the front middle cradle with only one 2x6 under each tire. And it also reaches under the rear cradle when front is on ramps and no 2x6s on rear. So all you need is 2 jack stands, said jack and ramps and you're all set. Good luck.

Based upon the picture in your avatar, if you back your car into the garage and set the ramps up at the edge of the garage on the driveway sloped towards the street, you may be able to get up the 67" ramps without the XTenders. But your car would straddle the doorway while it was on the ramps.

The RLL-72-2 2-stage incline ramp with integrated XTtenders shown in the photo below with the 2011 GS is at least 2.25" lower at the point where the splitter is above the ramp than the 67" ramp would be at that point. I can't see how the 67" ramp would work without the XTender. The packing tape on the ramp is 2" wide, so you can see that the ramp is about 4.5" high just below the splitter. The 67" ramp would be about 6.75" high at this same point.
