If this is really the C7 ....
:ack:
http://www.corvetteblogger.com/image...2/120312_7.jpg Then my C5Z's place in the stable is secure.  |
Yup, don't like the rear of the car. Like my C5 and C6 much better.
Should be very fast though, uses the aluminum frame from the C6 Z06 and a lot of carbon fiber. Weight is supposed to be 3000 lbs. I'm guessing performance on par with the C6 Z06. |
Who wants a rebadged Camaro? EPIC FAIL!
This is what the new C7 owners will have to look forward to. They'll have to go slow so everyone who passes them can look in their rearview mirror and see the new Corvette C7! If the new C7 owners go too fast and blow by other car owners. all those drivers are gonna say " Wow did you see how fast the new Camaro is?" The rear end is all they will see. I hope the real C7 isn't a Camaro clone. But the brightside is I get to drive my C5 which IS a REAL Corvette! |
Nope
It looks like half C6 and half Camaro
|
Thank heaven it's not automobile perfection, I don't have a spare $60k laying around. I'll bet the new C7 will grow on us as time goes by, but thankfully we have our C5's to maintain and enjoy.
|
Ugh, now the car & driver posts are spilling over into the C5 section. :willy:
|
Well, GM always seems to design the car to the latest trends. Seems the look of the new C7, Camaro, cruz, etc... are all heading in the same direction.
|
All these Camaro comments are ridiculous. Yes, it has the same tail lights...but that's it. There are no other similarities on the exterior. Calling it a Camaro is just silly.
I rather like this design, though I'm not a fan of the rear end. I don't care for the tail lights either. Plus, i prefer a flat back end than it bowing out in this rendering. Looks good otherwise, and close enough to a C6 to look like the next modern step of the Corvette. |

I think it would look better if the tail lights were not blacked out.
|
It has the same shaped tail lights as the new malibu, fugly...

The C3 owners didn't like the C4, the C4 owners didn't like the C5, and the C5 owners didn't like the C6.
Some things never change, yo! |
The ass-end is way too busy. Other than that it isn't a bad looking car, though it looks too Camaro/Caddy inspired to me.
|
It's an artist's rendering, not an actual image of the C7. The real 2014 design won't be released until January 13.
|
Look I don't believe for a minute that this is what the rear if the car looks like, if you google C7 spy shots and go to images there is a perfect view of the car and to me those tail lights do not look squared off.
|
The question is...will it perform like a Corvette? All the sources seem to answer a definite yes.

That's Car & Drivers "rendering"
Word is that it is pretty close... Peace Chip |
