How does te adapter work? If i have a 08 z would it work if i have navi?

I have no idea in your case. It works by plugging in to the 12 disc rear changer harness (the harness is present in all c5's). It then allows you to plug in whatever you want in to the RCA input on the box. There are threads out there with info on it that may answer your question about the 08.
