The new C7 Cormaro
Talk about no imagination, they have been trying to get the rear end right for years, looks like they just gave up and put a Camaro rear end on it. :ack:
I'll buy a new one the year they get it right but I ain't holding my breath  |
I could say something here, but I'll just point to the quote under your avatar and leave it at that.

UNBELIEVABLE, I have lost total faith in the members of this forum......LOOK how many stars he has?? :willy:
|
So if you haven't bought a Corvette since 1980, GM probably isn't worried you won't buy one anyway.

I suppose I might as well go guess how many LED lights make a headlight?
At least it is something different for a change |
I think he means he doesn't like the concept of the new Vette that he's seen so far. What part about that statement is so hard for certain people to understand?

Maybe someone who has been around this section for awhile can start a "complaint department" thread starting with a picture of a hand grenade next to a sign that says "pull pin and someone will be with you shortly". :D |
I guess I am the only one that thinks the rear looks similar to the Camaro rear end.

Thanks you that was very nice, and I apologize if it's been brought up before, just can't understand why they can't come up with something unique.

Everyone understands. It is just that there have been endless threads on this. He was very rude to start a new one instead of one of the many others. Except of course, one of the threads that have been locked because there have been SO MANY threads on this topic.
I'm not a fan of the C7 "renderings" myself either but it's seems that it's only ok to state approval as opposed to disapproval. I will say that I'm holding off final judgment until the reveal but as the way it stands now, I'm not overly excited. The Camaro thing....I've asked non so called car guys/girls what they thought about the pics and I've heard "Camaro" 90% of the time. |
Going to go ahead and repost this..originally from Skank.
There is absolutely no design relationship between the backend of the Camaro and this new C7 back end. There is only one thing you tail light haters are focusing on, and that is the shape of the tail light lens. The Camaro is a Isosceles trapazoid shape and the C7 is a scalene quadrilateral or trapazoid shape. There is a massive difference in form between the two cars and some just have the inability to see or grasp it. In fact the C7 tail lights are two separate quadrilateral shapes that are designed as one overall binacle All four tail light lenses on the Camaro are identical. And the C7 has two duel light binacles, one sloped left and one sloped right, for a mirrored image look. All four C7 tail light lenses are a separate parts number. |

IMO nobody here wanted rectangular taillights from the get, but other than a very few designs, (like the aztec) eventually everybody gets on board Especially when the competition tries to take its shot for the title :flag: Meanwhile we are all anticipating something worth waiting for |
