Poll: How Much Will C7 VIN 0001 Fetch at Barrett-Jackson?

VIN 0001 if officially going up for sale. So how much will it go for? The first SRT Viper garnered a paltry—ha ha—300k when it hit the block in June of 2012. But when the first 2013 427 was offered to the crowd last January, it went for double that, commanding a cool 600k. That seems to indicate the C7 should fetch a pretty penny. But just how pretty is that penny?

slief 01-16-2013 07:09 PM

$250,000 is my guess though it might well go double that since it's raising money for charity.

ricemann 01-16-2013 07:09 PM

One million.

danieloneil01 01-16-2013 07:10 PM

Doesn't 250k or more cover all the options you provided?

Thanks—I was never very good with numbers. Ha ha. I've edited the poll to make me look less mathematically challenged.

Sidepiper 01-16-2013 07:17 PM

one million

M_C7 01-16-2013 07:17 PM

based on the first SRT viper going for 300K a few months ago for charity Im gonna guess atleast 500K as the vette heritage is more iconic. I guess it depends who wants it really as it could indeed top 1 mil if the right person has to have it. but even then i would be surprised to see it break 750K. on the other hand I didnt know the 427 went for 600K that makes me think more. Will be watching though i think its between 8-9est Saturday night last i heard

Didn't ZR1 #1 fetch $1M? C7 #1 can definitely match that, I think.

BlueOx 01-16-2013 07:27 PM

Hmmm, since Dan Akerson is also auctioning his '58 Vette off for charity at the same auction, maybe he will bid for the first C7. I'm guessing $500k.

JetBlue427 01-16-2013 07:48 PM

the first ZR1 went for a cool million! so considering this is a generation change i think it will fetch the same or more

V8 Juice 01-17-2013 06:40 PM

I expect it will go for at least 1 million especially if Jay Leno gets in.

RC000E 01-17-2013 07:01 PM

7 figures for sure

ajg1915 01-17-2013 07:08 PM

My guess is around $750K, times are tough these days.

dbdave 01-17-2013 07:09 PM

I'm saying $1mil.
More interesting is who will get it? Leno, Hendrick, Dave Hessler? Not sure of the last name but he bought a bunch of significant Vettes over the years and he's always there with plenty of cash. Will be fun to watch.

Harleyjohn54 01-17-2013 07:20 PM

Absolutely north of one million, maybe close to two million.

howamil 01-17-2013 07:23 PM

First C7

I'm thinkin that Jay L will try for it!!

Not for the types that will be bidding it isnt. There's plenty of money out there, and plenty of folks that could use a tax deduction in these times...especially this year

gotz06? 01-17-2013 07:26 PM

1,000,000

Zora's Brother Joe 01-17-2013 07:27 PM

I say 750,000 -1000,000.00 there are a lot of guys out there to them this car is a BARGIN and all the history that goes with it ,the car will just go up in value like a rare wine.
